As the press release from TLC made clear today, “Quintuplet Surprise” will have a second episode and then some! We are very excited to announce that our show has been picked up as a series which will be aired sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year!!! I’ll let the press release speak for itself:
QUINTUPLET SURPRISE
“You’ve seen large families on television before. They laugh, they cry, they play, they’ve adjusted. This isn’t that. This is reality – the kind that comes like a swift, square blow to the stomach when you find out that you’re not having one baby, but five. And that booming construction business you own? Well the economy’s taken a dive like we haven’t seen since the Great Depression, so suddenly even paying for diapers, let alone a mortgage, has become an uncertainty. Meet 34-year-olds Casey and Ethan Jones of Austin, Texas. The Jones’ are now learning some brand new ropes in a new kind of life that includes their six-year-old daughter and their five newborn babies who were definitely not part of the plan. (Q3 2010)

In other news, the gorgeous pictures you see adorning this page are the latest round of shots taken by Ella Bella Photography. If you’re not from Texas, here’s the scoop: the blue flowers are called Bluebonnets and they are the state flower. Every year fields of Bluebonnets pop up around the state and it is pretty common to see families taking pictures of their kids in the all the Spring color. I loved watching your family on your TLC special. I myself am 28yrs old and have been trying for a baby for many years now. I know children are a blessing from god and like you said,”God only gives us what he knows we can handle.” your babies are beautiful and your older daughter is a strong and bright little one as well. I tried to put myself in your shoes of wanting a child for so long and then finding out that not just one baby was coming, but multiple babies and I have to say at this point I’d give just about anything to have that! I can’t wait to see your family grow on your new series. You are truley a blessing and inspiration to familes all over. Goodluck with your constrction business and hopefully the housing market in Texas gets alot better and fast! Good Luck and Thank You!!

I saw your show on TLC. What a contrast to the other multiples that air on the show (the 8 children one). Please be careful to not get swept up in the money (and products, and trips) they will send your way. Keep God first in your marriage and family. God will always provide, even if it isn’t on TLC. Oh, guys, the photos are awesome! I cried seeing the bluebonnets. I miss Austin a lot, but much more at bluebonnet time! They just won’t grow in NW Arkansas, but I keep trying every year.
The babies are growing so fast and they’re gorgeous! SO exciting about the series, and Quintuplet Surprise is MUCH better than the too many babies thing.

Oh, I cannot express how happy I am to hear that your show has been picked up. There is no need to tell you all to be gracious and not let this show tear your family apart or to treat eachother with respect and love on the air, unlike other multiple shows did. there is no reason to do that because you all are the real in reality. You care, you love and you respect on a daily basis wether alone or on air. You two have what everyone dreams of when they plan a famliy and i wish you all the best. I cannot wait to see the children grow and also to watch you go through all that comes with that. Thank God you found eachother and created such a wonderful family. Do not be afraid to show your fears, uncertainty or weaknesses because by being afraid sometimes we appreciate more. Best of luck to you all, I will be tied to the TV.
