Very interesting thoughts. I can see that there are those that will question what you are doing, but it is your life not theirs. I can’t help think that they may feel a hint of jealousy and that is why people may be critical. People that want to compare you to Jon and Kate isn’t fair. I think so many people turned into that show for very different reasons. It was like watching a train wreck. From day one you could see their marriage had difficulties and there was little respect in that marriage. That is why their marriage failed, not the show. Your marriage is very different(from what we see on TV). I think it is unfair for people to compare you to Jon and Kate. I have rambled on longer than I wanted but I don’t think you are making a mistake. Your show is joy. It makes us all think about our own lives and our own problems. As long as you always put God first you can never go wrong even when you feel like you have gone wrong. You have a beautiful family!

Good luck on figuring out what the restlessness is all about! Looks like you are doing a GREAT job in all that you do! Your wife Casey, is so great with the kiddos! I really admire that in her! I work daily on my patience in my own children! I have 4 children & struggle with patience! I love them dearly & they are worth any struggle I have to battle!

Ethan, Super impressive write up. I watched your show the other night and couldn’t help but wonder how I would deal with all that stress.
I too am a business owner in this trying economy and can only wonder of the stresses your going through. I wish you the best with the Series and look forward to seeing more.

I really respect your honesty and can totally relate with these feelings of unrest. I think part of this is also a personality thing. I’m very goal-oriented, type A and find myself in your position. I constantly remind myself to embrace the moment, embrace the day, live life to the fullest right now because otherwise, I’m planning for the next moment, the next big thing, etc. My motto and daily reminder is to “Love This Life” which reminds me to live for now. These little moments of life pass us by too fast! I give myself certain times of day to be selfish, to work on my business, to totally dedicate to my family, etc because I think balance is truly the key.

I agree a lot with Abe. Maybe not that you have taken on more then you can handle, but more so that your life had some very major changes. Changes that would be a lot for anyone to absorb. You get so caught up in it that you forget who you are or maybe the purpose of your journey. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and breathe. You will get a new insight once you can think a little clearer.
